I enjoy opportunities to deliver dynamic and engaging presentations on the topics of entertainment & IP law, law school success, and social media strategy for legal professionals. If you’re interested in booking me as a speaker for a conference, seminar, webinar, class, or association meeting, feel free to contact me directly. I’m available either in-person or remotely (via Skype or similar video conference technology).
Having worked in the entertainment industry for over 5 years, three of those having been as General Counsel for Naxos Music Group, I enjoy delivering informative and practical talks on all aspects of the profession. You can check out my recent presentation given to the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Action Group below:
Law School Strategy
As the title implies, this presentation is based on my book, The Law School Strategy: A Millennial’s Guide to Getting a Job After Law School. It’s approximately 60 minutes and can be tailored to meet your specific audience. Everyone present receives a free copy of The Law School Strategy workbook and, by the end of the talk, will have developed their own law school strategy.
Social Media Strategy
I received my second legal job offer during the summer of my bar exam studies because of my LinkedIn profile. I want to help current law students and recent grads maximize their potential when it comes to building a brand and developing an online presence. I have several presentations I give and they can all be easily modified and tailored to fit a particular student or attorney group.
Mastering Social Media for Legal Professionals
An introduction to social media for legal professionals (attorneys and law students) that provides a starting point for beginners and an improvement on foundational principles of which everyone using social media should be aware. This presentation can be modified to include an ethics portion for attorneys seeking ethics credit (subject to local bar approval).
Advanced Social Media for Legal Professionals
As social media usage continues grow, legal professionals have become more and more involved in the conversations taking place on social media platforms. In this presentation, I cover advanced techniques, tools, and tricks of using social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Google+, to establish a professional brand, become recognized within a field, and seamlessly join the discussion.
Advanced LinkedIn for Legal Professionals
LinkedIn is the #1 social media platform for professionals. In this presentation, I run through important steps that should be taken take to maximize profile exposure and professional brand development. My first job offer as a 3L law student came from the steps I took to improve my LinkedIn profile! Through this presentation, I help others achieve the same results.
I am available for both in-person and remote speaking opportunities. I typically don’t charge a fee for speaking, especially if speaking to students at a law school or student organization event. However, if there are travel or related expenses involved in my being a speaker, I will require my out of pocket expenses to be covered.
Others can attest to my speaking abilities, so check out what people are saying about me:
I found Franklin Graves’ presentation highly informative and very helpful. His insights into social media management had an immediate impact on my personal social media presence, and it provided me with invaluable tools for management moving forward. His talk also helped to generally “re-spark” my motivation to get involved in both the local legal community and the community as a whole. His talk genuinely benefited me.— 3L, Cumberland School of Law
